The Physics Laboratory of the Kongu College Of Arts and Science is well-equipped and systematically organized to support effective teaching and learning at the undergraduate levels. The laboratory provides a strong practical foundation in core areas such as Mechanics, Optics, Electricity and Magnetism, Electronics, and Modern Physics, enabling students to correlate theoretical principles with experimental observations.
It is furnished with modern and conventional instruments including spectrometers, optical benches, traveling microscopes, CROs, digital and analog meters, function generators, semiconductor and electronic circuit trainer kits, laser and optical fiber setups and regulated power supplies.
The laboratory offers adequate workspace, proper lighting, ventilation, and a safe working environment with reliable power supply and safety provisions.
Experiments are conducted as per the university curriculum, and students are guided by experienced faculty members and trained laboratory staff, ensuring effective hands-on training and accurate experimentation.
Regular maintenance and calibration of instruments are carried out to ensure precision and reliability.
It plays an important role in developing analytical ability, problem-solving skills and technical competence among students, preparing them for higher studies, research and industry-related careers.
