Admission Overview

Kongu College of Arts and Science, Karur, is a private self-financing Arts and Science institution established in 1997 and affiliated to Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programmes across Arts, Commerce, Science, and Management streams. Admissions are offered strictly as per Bharathidasan University norms, Government of Tamil Nadu regulations, and institutional guidelines.

Admission Procedure (Step-by-Step)

1) Issue of Application Form

Application forms can be obtained from the College Office or downloaded from the official college website. Applicants must fill in all personal & academic details.

2) Submission of Application

The duly filled application form should be submitted along with all required supporting documents. Incomplete or incorrect applications are liable to be rejected.

3) Verification of Certificates

Original certificates will be verified by the Admission Committee. Applicants must appear in person along with their parent or guardian at the time of verification.

4) Selection Process

Selection is made purely on merit, based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Reservation rules prescribed by the Govt of Tamil Nadu followed.

5) Admission Confirmation

Selected candidates will receive an admission intimation. Admission will be confirmed only after payment of the prescribed fees within the stipulated time.

6) Orientation Programme

All admitted students must attend the Orientation Programme, which introduces them to academic regulations, college rules, facilities, and campus life.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must satisfy the following eligibility requirements for admission:

Undergraduate Programmes (UG)

1)A pass in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) from a recognised board.
2)Subject combinations and eligibility as prescribed by Bharathidasan University.
3)Submission of Transfer Certificate (TC) cum Conduct Certificate is mandatory.
4)The minimum aggregate percentage varies according to the programme.

Postgraduate Programmes (PG)

1)A Bachelor degree in the relevant discipline from a recognised university.
2)Minimum aggregate percentage as prescribed by Bharathidasan University.
3)Provisional Certificate or Degree Certificate must be submitted at the time of admission.
4)Certain programmes may require entrance tests and/or interviews.

Documents Required For Admission:

Candidates must bring original documents along with photocopies for verification.

Fee Structure and Payment Guidelines

1) Fees are fixed as per University and Government norms.
2) Fees should be paid at the College Office or through approved digital payment modes.
3) Fee receipts must be preserved for future reference.
4) Failure to pay fees within the due date may result in cancellation of admission.
