IQAC (INTERNAL QUALITY ASSURANCE CELL)

Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) focuses on improving quality and overall development in both academic and administrative areas, as stated in their vision and mission.

Vision

The IQAC’s vision is to create a system that consistently and actively improves the institution’s quality. This includes setting and maintaining realistic quality standards, which align with the goals of higher education and meet the needs of students and society.

Mission

✔ The IQAC’s mission is to ensure efficient and progressive performance of academic and administrative tasks. It aims to promote modern teaching, learning, and assessment methods by integrating innovative practices. The IQAC also acts as a central coordinating agency for quality-related activities, including the adoption and sharing of best practices.

✔ To create a student-centered environment that encourages research, creativity, and holistic development, the IQAC collaborates with other academic institutions and industries. It develops credible evaluation procedures to enhance quality in academics, research, and administration.

Objectives

 ✔ Developing a system that enables conscious, consistent, and catalytic action to enhance the college’s academic and administrative performance.

 ✔ Ensuring the curriculum is delivered effectively and fostering innovative teaching, learning, and evaluation methods.

 ✔ To promote modern teaching methods, the use of ICT, a research-oriented culture, and student-centered approaches.

 ✔ Supporting the faculty and the students in research, publications, and involvement in seminars, workshops, and extension programs to promote scholarly growth.

 ✔ Creating mechanisms for student mentoring, counselling, skill development, and placement support.

 ✔ We can optimize our current infrastructure and upgrade facilities, such as the library, ICT tools, and labs.

 ✔ Developing a quality culture at the institutional, departmental, and individual levels through participatory practices.

 ✔ Collecting and analysing feedback from students, alums, and parents for institutional growth.

 ✔ Keeping track of quality initiatives, best practices, and institutional performance for NAAC and other accreditation bodies.

 ✔ Combining value-based learning, cultural experiences, and social responsibility initiatives to foster comprehensive student growth.

 ✔ The IQAC aims to maintain academic excellence, foster innovation, and ensure holistic student development while meeting accreditation standards.

COMPOSITION OF IQAC

The IQAC at Kongu College of Arts and Science was established in 2025. Following the NAAC guidelines published in 2019, the college made the required amendments and strengthened the IQAC.
